YOU CAN CONFIDENTLY GO INTO THE PRESENCE OF YAHWEH – Part II

Hebrews 10:19-22 “Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”

A second devotion based upon verses 19-22 of Hebrews chapter 10 . . .

In the world you live that requires passwords before you can enter into your computer, security codes to access your finances, and memberships in order to have the rights and privileges of various organizations the words of today’s devotional verses should resonate.  To enter into the presence of God (yesterday’s devotion,) into the “Most Holy Place” Jesus shed His blood so you “go through the curtain,” that at one time forbad your entrance into the Holy of Holies.

God has given you “a new and living way to enter into His presence, for you to draw near to Him.  It is through His Son Jesus, who is your High Priest that you are able to pass through the curtain that He tore apart on the day of His death on Calvary’s cross.  Through Jesus you are able every day with full assurance to approach your heavenly Father with everything that is in your heart.  You can give Him praise, honor and thanks.  You can bring before Him your fears, doubts, troubles and life challenges.  God is ready to hear your every word and know your every thought for Jesus’ sake.

You have this daily privilege to draw near to Yahweh because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.  No passcode is needed. No security code is required. Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Through Jesus you have unlimited access with your heavenly Father.

Prayer:  Jesus, You are the way for me to come to Yahweh.  Send into my heart through Your Holy Spirit faith to trust in You to bring me and all my needs to Your Father, who through You is my Father.  In Your holy name.  Amen.

In the cross of Christ I glory, Tow’ring o’er the wrecks of time.

All the light of sacred story Gathers round its head sublime.

When the woes of life o’ertake me, Hopes deceive, and fears annoy,

Never shall the cross forsake me; Lo, it glows with peace and joy.

When the sun of bliss is beaming Light and love upon my way,

From the cross the radiance streaming Adds more luster to the day.

Bane and blessing, pain and pleasure By the cross are sanctified;

Peace is there that knows no measure, Joys that through all time abide.
