The early founders of Crown of Life sensed the need for a burial site close by for members of our church family. Now, much as our rural congregations of the Midwest provided a cemetery, we enjoy the blessings of our very own “Columbarium”—niches for those who choose cremation as their means for burial. The Columbarium Committee maintains the pristine beauty of the site, and committee members participate in the inurnment following the service in the Sanctuary.
All the men of Crown of Life are de facto members of the Men’s Fellowship. They gather monthly for a breakfast meeting, Bible study and fellowship. The Men’s Fellowship sponsors golf outings, the annual Oktoberfest, Easter breakfast and the Valentine’s Luncheon.
Reading for the Blind and Visually Impaired
Individuals from the Reading Team come to the reading room on their own schedule to create tapes of books, magazines, essays and other materials. These tapes are sent to St. Louis, and then forwarded to the blind and visually impaired. This is one more way of serving our Lord and fellow mankind.
